Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
AI Movie ("the App") is developed and operated by Moosia LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
Information We Collect
We aim to collect the minimum information necessary to provide and improve the App:
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address. This allows us to sync your credit balance across devices and reinstalls.
- Purchase Information: We record credit purchases and the credits you spend, so your balance is correct on every device.
- Diagnostics: We collect crash reports and anonymous feature-usage data to fix bugs and improve performance.
- User Content: The prompts you type, and any image, video, or audio file you choose for an AI action, are sent to the AI services listed below so they can produce the result you asked for. This is the only situation in which your content leaves your device, and it only ever happens because you tapped Create or Generate.
What Stays On Your Device
The App is a video, streaming, and audio editor first. Almost everything it handles never leaves your Mac, iPhone, or iPad:
- Your projects, timelines, scenes, and edits.
- Your media library, including anything you import, record, or generate.
- Local recordings and replay clips.
- Camera and microphone input. Background removal and green screen run entirely on your device.
- Speech transcription in the audio editor, which uses Apple's on-device speech recognition.
We have no copy of any of it. If you never use an AI feature, no content of yours is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
AI Features and the Services That Power Them
AI Movie cannot generate images, video, music, or speech by itself. When you use an AI feature, it sends what you have provided to a third-party AI service, which does the work and returns a result.
That service is fal.ai (Features & Labels, Inc.). Every AI feature in the App goes through it: generating and editing images, turning images into video, upscaling images and video, removing image backgrounds, generating music, generating speech, and the in-app AI assistant. It receives the text prompt you typed, and any image, video, or audio file you selected for that specific action, and nothing else. See the fal.ai Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Data Processing Addendum.
fal.ai does not run every model itself. On our behalf it passes written instructions to a large language model provider, and narration text to ElevenLabs, Inc. Those companies are fal.ai's sub-processors and are covered by fal.ai's terms and its Data Processing Addendum, linked above.
An optional developer setting. The App also contains fields, hidden behind an Advanced option intended for development, where a technically-minded user can supply their own Anthropic or OpenAI API key. If, and only if, such a key has been entered, written instructions go directly to that company instead of through fal.ai, under that company's own terms and the user's own account with them. This is switched off by default and is not part of normal use of the App.
Nothing beyond the content you submit is sent to any of these services. They do not receive your contacts, your location, device identifiers, your media library, or any photo you have not chosen yourself. Nothing is sent in the background, on launch, or while the App is idle.
Each of these providers is bound by its own published terms and, where applicable, a data processing agreement requiring protections equivalent to those described in this policy.
Training
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not license or sell it to anyone for that purpose. We cannot speak for our providers' own terms, which you should read: fal.ai's Terms of Service permit them to use "Usage Data", which they define as anonymised or aggregated data that may be derived from customer input, to develop their products and models. Your prompts and files themselves remain yours.
Your Permission, and How to Withdraw It
Before the App sends anything to an AI service for the first time, it shows you a screen naming every service above and stating what each one receives, and asks you to agree. Until you do, no AI feature will transmit anything.
Declining costs you nothing else: the video editor, the live streaming studio, and the audio editor all work fully without AI.
You can withdraw permission at any time in the App under Settings, in the "AI and Privacy" section. The AI features stop working immediately and nothing further is sent. You will be asked again if you later try to use one, and also if the list of services above ever changes.
Face Data and Biometrics
AI Movie does not collect, process, store, or transmit face data.
The App performs no face detection, face recognition, face landmark or mesh mapping, and no face tracking. It does not use face data for authentication or identification. It creates no facial template, faceprint, face geometry, or other biometric identifier at any point, and there is therefore no face data to share, store, retain, or delete.
The App's optional camera background-removal effect uses Apple's on-device person segmentation, which produces a plain silhouette separating a person from their background so the camera layer can be composited over a different backdrop. It contains no facial features and nothing that could identify anyone, it is never written to disk, and it is never transmitted.
If you choose one of your own photos or videos for an AI feature, that file is sent to fal.ai as described above, and it may of course show a person, because you chose it. Even then, the App does not detect, extract, derive, or retain any face data from it, and no such data is used to identify or authenticate anyone.
Connected Accounts
AI Movie can connect to third-party video platforms so you can go live, or publish a recording, without copying credentials by hand. Connecting an account is optional, is always started by you, and can be undone at any time.
- YouTube (Google): If you connect a YouTube account, AI Movie requests the
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtubescope. It uses that access for two purposes only: reading or creating a live stream on your channel in order to retrieve the stream key and ingest URL needed to broadcast, and uploading a recording to your channel when you explicitly choose to send one. AI Movie does not read your watch history, comments, subscriber list, or analytics, and does not modify or delete videos already on your channel. - Twitch: Used to read your channel's stream key so the App can broadcast to it.
- Kick: Used to read your channel's stream key so the App can broadcast to it.
- TikTok: Used to upload a recording to your TikTok account when you explicitly choose to send one.
How these credentials are stored. Access and refresh tokens are held only in the Keychain on your own device, and are never stored on our servers. For YouTube and Twitch, the sign-in exchange happens directly between the App and the platform, so no credential passes through us at any point. TikTok and Kick require a confidential client secret, which we keep on our server rather than inside the App; for those two platforms the sign-in exchange is relayed through our backend, and the resulting token is passed straight back to your device without being recorded or retained.
Disconnecting. Removing a destination in the App deletes its stored token from your device. You can additionally revoke the App's access to your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
AI Movie's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Our Own Infrastructure
We use Google Firebase to run the parts of the service that cannot live on your device: sign-in, your credit balance, crash reporting, and the server functions that relay AI requests when you have not supplied your own API key. Firebase processes this data on our behalf as a service provider.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App's features and services.
- To sync your credit balance and purchases across your devices.
- To respond to support requests and communicate important updates.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with data brokers.
Data Sharing
Beyond the AI services and connected accounts described above, we share data only with:
- Service Providers: Companies that help us operate the App, such as cloud hosting and crash reporting. They are contractually obliged to protect your data and may use it only to provide the service to us.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Data Retention
- Your projects and media: Kept on your device until you delete them. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete.
- Account information and credit balance: Kept while your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we remove it, along with your balance and purchase records, within 30 days.
- Content sent to AI services: Retained by fal.ai under its own policy, which states that it deletes personal information associated with an account within 30 days of the account being closed, and otherwise after two years of account inactivity. fal.ai's sub-processors, and any provider reached through the optional developer setting described above, publish their own retention terms, linked above.
- Crash reports and anonymous usage data: Retained for up to 90 days in identifiable form, and may be kept indefinitely once aggregated so that it no longer identifies anyone.
- Streaming account tokens: Held only in the Keychain on your device, and deleted when you remove that destination.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Age Requirements
The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
The AI generation features additionally require you to be 18 or over, or the age of legal majority where you live, because our AI provider's terms require it.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the support link below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the App or on our website. If the list of AI services above changes, the App will ask for your permission again before sending anything to a new provider.
