At AI Compare, we believe your data belongs to you. We've designed our app to minimize data collection while providing powerful AI comparison features. Your prompts, conversations, and API keys stay on your device—we don't collect, store, or have access to them.

Information We Do NOT Collect

AI Compare is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect:

• Your Prompts or Conversations: All chat data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
• Your API Keys: Keys are stored securely in the system Keychain on your device, never transmitted to us.
• Personal Information: No account creation is required; no email, name, or other personal details are collected.
• Usage Analytics: We do not track how you use the app or which AI providers you query.

How the App Works

AI Compare connects directly from your device to the AI provider APIs you configure (Google AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI). When you send a prompt:

• Your request goes directly from your device to the selected AI provider(s).
• Responses are received directly on your device.
• No data passes through our servers—we don't operate any intermediary servers.

Third-Party AI Providers

When you use AI Compare, your prompts and any attached images or documents are sent to the AI providers you've configured. Each provider has its own privacy policy:

• OpenAI (ChatGPT/GPT): Subject to OpenAI's privacy policy and terms of use.
• Google AI (Gemini): Subject to Google's privacy policy and AI terms.
• Anthropic (Claude): Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy and terms.
• xAI (Grok): Subject to xAI's privacy policy and terms.

We encourage you to review each provider's privacy practices before using their services through AI Compare.

Local Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device:

• Conversations: Stored using SwiftData in your device's app container.
• API Keys: Stored in the secure system Keychain.
• Preferences: Stored locally using standard iOS/macOS preferences.

Data syncs between your devices via your personal iCloud account if you have iCloud enabled for the app. This sync is managed by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policy.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Delete individual conversations within the app.
• Clear all data by deleting the app.
• Remove API keys through the app's settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
